Take some time to learn a few simple steps to begin contributing to a document about the future of the town of Pulaski, VA. You may edit these documents if you feel that you can clarify or improve them. We hope to use the collective wisdom of our citizens to assist the Town Council in making sure that it is successful in actively working toward it's stated priorities for the town. There are 9,000 people in this town who have at least one idea or suggestion which would make our town better. See if you can think of one or two and add it to the appropriate priority page. Have fun and please be polite.

Council Planning Goals

The town council (interesting note, if you rank the importance of the people by the size of their photo it gives an interesting insight to how the council/staff are viewed) held a two day retreat on the 13th and 14th of February, 2009. The purpose of the retreat was to establish goals and priorities for the town and for the council for the current and near term. One result of that meeting was a list of six priorities. The next step is for the town staff to address the priorities in early March and help the council develop a plan of action. The plan should be completed in spring of this year. Since we have often heard the town manager state that certain projects or plans must be deferred because of the heavy load on town staff, perhaps we can assist in finding ways to make sure that the council's stated priorities are acted upon quickly.
